This page is in memory of Fred Frenkel, Yehudah Ben Aryeh Halevi, Z”L.
A Holocaust survivor, Fred was a fighter with the biggest heart and a tremendous passion for yehadut and tzedaka. Fred was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to so many.
As he wrote to his family:
"I always believed that Hashem had a purpose for me and saved me for a reason. My purpose and legacy is you, my family, and the continuation of our Jewish religious faith. After all I experienced during the Holocaust, and deaths of my mother, father, and brothers, I could have easily continued to be "Araczki Gyorgy" - the non-Jew. I decided not only to be Fred Frenkel but to continue my Jewish faith and bring up my family in a religious environment."
Please join us in honoring his memory by learning mishnayot ahead of his shloshim, giving tzedaka, as well as sharing memories - stories or photos, on this page as a tribute to all of the great things he achieved in his ninety-three years in Olam Hazeh.
