After my husband I and decided to become more observant Jews I was always looking for classes and shiurim so that I could learn all the things about Torah that I had never been taught. Someone suggested that I call Leah Miriam because she was giving a shiur for women on Shabbos afternoons. Soon I was regularly attending her shiur on Shabbos and on Monday nights. Leah Miriam was the most encouraging person I had ever met. Her classes were fantastic because she knew so much about Torah and Chassidus and was such a great teacher. But she was much more than a teacher, she was a true friend. She cared so much about me and about all the women who came to the shiur. We always talked about our children and grandchildren and how hard it was to live far away from them. I learned from Leah Miriam to be accepting of the situation that HaShem has put you in, and to make the best of it with a good attitude and lots of love.
