Mrs Heidingsfeld was a true dugma chaya. Her home embodied 'mach doh Eretz Yisroel'. I admired her chayus, her aidelkeit and her chassidishkeit. I feel privileged to have had her as one of my role models. I moved to Melbourne in 2008 and attended her Tuesday night shiur and was also her Shabbos guest. I fondly remember her annual women's Shabbos Bereishis lunch. Mrs Heidingsfeld was very warm and friendly and was welcoming of everyone. She was always smiling. In 2013 she visited Melbourne. I was excited to show off my first baby and she greeted him with the warmth and enthusiasm of a Bubby he never had. I often walk past her old home in Melbourne and wonder if the walls still hold kedusha.
