Stories & Memories of Mrs Leah Miriam Heidingsfeld

Dear Heidingsfeld family. Shimshon and I would like to extend our sadness and sorrow on the passing of the beautiful Leah Miriam. I merited to have had a small connection with her when you lived in Melbourne, and remember a humble, chassidish, caring and devoted woman, mother and chossid. She was always working on herself. I once travelled with her on a plane to Sydney for the convention and in the airport she had the sheva mitzvos bnei noach cards and was trying to get herself to approach random people and talk to them about it. I could see it was hard for her, but she pushed beyond herself because she was an emesdike chossid. After she finally approached someone and spoke to him, she told me how hard it was for her and she hoped she made a kiddush Hashem. I know she did because her sincerity shone through. Even though she seemed very unassuming, there was a very deep strength, spirit and conviction in her and I saw that when we were working together to help a Jewish woman in regional Victoria who had emotional issues, she left no stone unturned to do whatever she could to help and pushed me beyond myself to do the same. May she be a maylitz yosher for each one of you. I will always carry her specialness in my heart. Wishing you all Arichus Yomim, strength and comfort. המקום ינחם אתכם בתוך שער אבילי ציון וירושלים. With much respect and love Rivkah Yurkowicz
