Growing up in Melbourne, Australia I had the privilege of being taught by Mr Heidingsfeld in prep. He created an incredible of aura and excitement around learning at the earlier stages of my life and it was clear that it carried through from home as well!

One memory that sticks out occurred on a Shabbos where Shmueli and I were playing in the backyard, we were very young at the time and I clearly remember the warmth and kindness Mrs Heidingsfeld expressed to us. There was something special in their home that was hard to describe. Over the years I got to spend time with more of the family and I could see the indelible impact they left on the Melbourne community before leaving to California.

Whether it was the patience that Shmuli had learning together with me in Mesivta. The excitement for Yidishkeit that Levi carried as our counselor for Mesiba Shabbos or seeing the impact on a community by Rabbi Boruch in Winnipeg it is clear the values and humility will be carried on by her incredible children.
