Stories & Memories of Menachem Mendel Plotkin

By: Chaim Gross May 12

You and I are no different

BDE Rivkie, and EVERYONE, I am truly heartbroken. Mendel remains so very important to me personally. When he was just a teenager in my driveway delivering our very first Succah eruv Succos, as the sun was literally setting, already back in the van in the driver's seat, he had the presence to ask a few pointed questions and determined that I needed help.

I said, "I don't know anything but I know you have to go." He got out of the van to come closer to me and responded "You and me are no different." And he and Yosef did not leave until we had a kosher Succah. His message, combined with practical action and the utmost loving care, informed and directed my entire Teshuvah process to this day.

With heartfelt prayers for Goldy and your parents and the entire family.
