What can I say about my friend Tzion z"l? Neither texts, megillas nor books are enough to express all the excellent qualities he had. I had the merit to be with him at Camp Gan Yisroel in Argentina. He was more than a great counselor; he created a special relationship with the campers as well as with the rest of the counselors and of course with me, the camp director. At one of the night activities he hid on the top of one of the highest trees at the quinta, and nobody was able to find him for a long time. The kids loved him; he always had a warm smile.
I also had the zechus to spend several Shabbosim with him at North Shore University Hospital. We used to sing a lot during Kabbalas Shabbos there, even though he was in bed. We also used to dance at the end of davening. He couldn't eat in a regular way due to the tube that was connected to him, but even so he told me he had pleasure seeing me eating the Shabbos meal. What a tzadik! It was like he was doing the mitzvah of eating the Shabbos seudah through me. We chatted for hours, learned and obviously shared stories of our memories at camp. It is hard to believe that Tzion z"l is not with us anymore b’gashmiyus. I only wish Moshiach would come and return my friend to us, together with all of our relatives! Moshiach now!
