When you were little, with the right person, the two of you could sit opposite on a seesaw- a wooden board hinged in the middle to a metal pole- and with care and patience instead of pushing up and down you could balance with both people lifting their feet off the ground. The board was flat, even, not moving - balanced. It wasn't easy. It took two to cooperate and want that rare balance. It was harmony. Harmony is bliss. Sion had Jacob our father's quality of balance. Tiferet. The blend of gevurah and chesed. I should have put chesed first. But in balance and harmony, in balanced love, in a balanced life there is no first or second. There is only together = unity. Achdoos. Sion my friend created a zone around him of Tiferet, balance. Then and now. When I am near the Prager Goldstein family a warm ray of sunshine, balance, surrounds me and I am home again. Unafraid, happy, free to be me, free to act and do for others. Thank you Sion for your kind warm eyes - wise eyes and smile. Thank you for the lessons in courage and in truth. I press you to my heart. Your friend Tuvia. If there is more room I ask please to continue. A story of Sion's leadership. Once on the way to an operation I had the high privilege to walk beside Sion as he was on a bed being wheeled to the pre operating room. All along the way Sion was in tallit and tefillin immersed in his prayer book with his lips moving saying Shacharit. Tall handsome draped royally in a white with black striped tallit over his head crowned with tefillin. He seemed to be as much at the Kotel davvening as on a fast moving bed down a hallway. Then in pre-op we are in a cold room behind curtains the nurses pepper him with questions of allergy to anesthetic and a dozen other questions. Sion Prays to his Father in Heaven without answering. Not only for himsrlf but for his family and everyone to see Moshiach immediatly Then the surgeon enters. Shhhh, stop he cautions the nurses. "What Sion is doing now is more important than anything we can do for him." The nurses quietly waited with the doctor till Sion finishes turning pages and looked up. The usually unemotional surgeon's face was blushing red to my left. Thank you Sion for raising us all to your beautiful quality of balance, Tferet. I will do my best to pass it on to all I meet. No matter where or when. Moshiach is coming much sooner Sion because of your thoughts, speech and action and love and smiling eyes and more importantly of your children's following in your footsteps. They run to catch your hand to dance with you with Moshiach as they spread petals of Sion's roses which are the many beautiful words of encouragement and deeds of kindness his children shower our world and we are all richer for it in every way.
