When the old Rabbi Felder passed away, his son (yaakov) was young (maybe a young schnuk), and the kehila was not inclined to have the son take him over. Reb Mendel told me that he attended the meeting that they held about it, and he insisted and demanded that the son take over the father, and it was thanks to his intervention that the son got the position.
